Come Learn How an Ordinary “Joe” Rose to the Pinnacle of Network Marketing Success
"Hey Marketer,”
I've recruited hundreds of people directly into a couple different businesses and I can tell you what differs from 1 signup per month and 20 sign-ups per month and if you’re not getting the type of results you want you have to ask yourself two questions.
1. Are you the leader? If you relying solely on your up line you may lose.
2. Are you selling a product/service or are you selling yourself? (Don’t get me wrong, you need to have a good product)
Nobody buys “stuff” in MLM/. They buy into people and people sell ideas. There’s a reason when you go buy a pair of shoes you ask for that sales person that took good care of you last time.…Well because.. they took good care of you last time. Was there a reason you decided to work with one insurance agent at one company over another. People do business with people they like and trust.
“I never thought I'd have enough time to work on my golf swing, but I do now. Come learn how an ordinary Joe rose to the pinnacle of network marketing success.”
People sell themselves short and forget to talk about their own story. Your greatest asset is YOUR story. Own it, talk about it, enjoy it, and let it be your crying call. Whatever product/service you sell after you connect with people doesn't matter as long as you continue to offer value up front and also on-going once they sign up.
Inch by Inch It’s a Cinch

Satellite TV Arm Wrestles Cable TV
DTV (Digital Television)
The United States Congress Passed a law on February 1st 2006 that set a final deadline for television stations to convert over the air analog TV broadcasting signal to digital TV broadcasting by June 12th, 2009.
This means that anyone receiving over the air broadcasts must have a digital TV or a DTV converter box by that deadline to receive over the air programming.
This is being done because DTV allows the same number of stations to broadcast using fewer channels. This will free up valuable resources to be used by new services. DTV also affords the viewer higher quality picture and sound.
There is some discussion that Verison Wireless is about to release a nationwide broadband network across the spectrum of the old analog channels. They bought the rights from the FCC and are developing the technology. This would mean wireless networks that send and receive in a 360 degree pattern from the tower and extend for 50 plus miles.
As of March 1st 2007, all televisions sold in the United States must have digital tuner. Also, as of May 25th 2007, all retailers must disclose any TV receiving equipment that has an analog tuner only.
If you purchase a digital television, be sure it is has a digital tuner. Some digital monitors are sold and additional equipment must be purchased to receive over the air broadcasts.
DTV Antenna Recommendation
If your looking for a DTV antenna, we recommend an outdoor type as first choice for rural areas. For urban dwellings, try to go with the outside antenna if you can, if not, go for the best outdoor dtv antenna one you can afford. Make sure that you use a sturdy mount. This will pay off when adverse weather conditions put the antenna to the test.
The antenna that is used currently with analog receptions is ok for DTV broadcast as long as the antenna receives UHF channels.

Entrepreneurship: Nothing to Lose and Everything to Gain
by Dan Schawbel, contributor
I recently caught up with Ryan Blair, who is a serial entrepreneur and author of the new book "Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain." Ryan established his first company, 24-7 Tech when he was only twenty-one years old. Since then, he has created and actively invested in multiple start-ups and has become a self-made multimillionaire. After he sold his company ViSalus Sciences to Blyth in early 2008, the global recession took the company to the brink of failure resulting in a complete write off of the stock and near bankruptcy. Ryan as CEO went "all in" betting his last million dollars on its potential and turned the company around from the edge of failure to more than $150,000,000 a year in revenue in only 16 months winning the coveted DSN Global Turn Around Award in 2010. In this interview, Ryan talks about how he re-branded himself after being in a gang, the issues with the education system, and more.
How did you shake your criminal record and re-brand yourself?
I remember when I was working my way up in the first company that employed me, I used to have nightmares that one day they'd find out about that I had been in a gang, call me into the office, and fire me. In the beginning I didn't talk much about what I'd been through. But eventually when I got to a point where I had established myself as a professional entrepreneur, I embraced my past, used it as part of my branding, and crossed over.
Ryan Blair
In this day and age people want authenticity. Now that the world is social, people know all about you. Assuming you decided to join humanity, that is. It turned out that as I started showing my true identity, so did the rest of the world. One of the reasons my company ViSalus is one of the fastest growing companies in the industry today is because we share our good, bad, and ugly. Like sharing a video of me playing a practical joke on one of my employees, for instance. As a result of embracing authenticity, I turned the company around from near bankruptcy to over $15 million a month today. Unlike our competitors, our distributors and customers know exactly who we are, and I'd say that corporate America has a lot of catching up to do.
What's your take on the educational system? Will a college degree help or hurt your chances at starting a successful business?
As a product of Los Angeles's public school system, in a state with the highest dropout rate in the nation (about 20 percent), I can tell you from personal experience that some of our brightest minds are being misidentified because of a one-size-fits-all learning environment. Because I had ADD and dyslexia I never got past the 9th grade.
I recall sitting with a career counselor in continuation high school, being told that I didn't have the intellect or aptitude to become a doctor or a lawyer. They suggested a trade school, construction, something where I'd be working with my hands.
The irony is that today I employ plenty of doctors and lawyers. Would you rather be a doctor or a lawyer, or a guy who writes a check to doctors and lawyers?
If President Obama phoned me today and told me he was appointing me Educational Czar, I'd turn education into a business, a capitalistic, revenue driven system, creating a competitive environment where each school is trying to attract customers, based on quality of customer experience.
As an entrepreneur, having a college degree or getting classroom training won't hurt your chances for starting a successful business, but it's ultimately not necessary. In Malcolm Gladwell's book "Outliers," he makes a point that it takes approximately 10,000 hours to master a skill set at a professional level. That means experience, over traditional education.
What three business lessons did you learn from juvenile detention?
I learned a lot about business and life from my time spent incarcerated. I like to call these pieces of wisdom my Philosophies from the Jail Cell to the Boardroom. One of the biggest lessons I learned was that in Juvenile Hall, new guys always get tested. When I went in the first time, I was just a skinny little white kid and I had to learn fast. People will be bumping into you on the basketball court, or asking you for things, testing to see if you're tough.
And everyone knew that if a guy let someone take their milk during lunchtime, they weren't as tough as they looked. Soon you'd be taking their milk everyday, and so would everyone else. It's the same for business, if you give people the impression that you can be taken, you will be.
Also, adaptation is the key to survival. In jail the guy who rises to power isn't always the strongest or the smartest. As prisoners come and go, he's the one that adapts to the changing environment, while influencing the right people. You can use this in business, staying abreast of market trends, changing your game plan as technology shifts, and adapting our strategy around your company's strongest competitive advantages. Darwin was absolutely right — survival is a matter of how you respond to change.
The last lesson I got from jail is that you have to learn how to read people. You don't know who to trust. It's the same for business because a lot of people come into my office with a front. I have to figure out quickly who is the real deal and who isn't. Based on that fact, I developed an HR system that I use when interviewing potential new hires that I call the Connect Four Technique. Yep, you guessed it. I make my future employees — and I have hundreds of them — play me in Connect Four.
Can everyone be an entrepreneur? Can it be learned or do you have to be born with a special gene?
No. Not everyone can be an entrepreneur. There are two types of people in the world, domesticated and undomesticated. Some people are so domesticated through their social programming and belief system, so employee minded, that they could never be entrepreneurs. And they shouldn't even bother trying. The irony is that this is coming from a guy who teaches millions of people how to become entrepreneurs. I'm literally selling a book about becoming an entrepreneur, telling you that not everyone should read it.
To be an entrepreneur, you have to have fighting instincts. Are instincts genetic? I don't think so, but you 'inherit' them from your upbringing. Now, if you're smart you can reprogram your beliefs. But there are still some people that would rather watch other people be entrepreneurs, like the people in the Forbes "richest celebrity list" than take the time to reprogram themselves, and live their lives like rock stars, too.
Is there a need for business plans these days?
When you've really got the entrepreneurial bug, the last thing you want to do is sit down and write a business plan. It's the equivalent of writing a book about playing the guitar before actually knowing how to play the guitar. You don't know what your new business is going to be like. And just like a guitar, a business will have to be tweaked and tuned multiple times, and you'll need long practice sessions and repetition, before you can get even one successful song out of it.
In my book "Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain," I actually included a chapter called "I Hate Business Plans" where I talk about this. Most business plans that get sent to me, I close within seconds of opening them up because they are full of fluff and hype. A business plan should be simple, something you could scribble on a scratch pad. No more than three pages of your business objectives, expected results, and the strategy to get there. But the best business plan is one built from a business that is already up and running and that matches the business's actual results.
The point is that you should be so obsessed with your business that you can't sleep at night because that's all you can think about. And that's your ultimate "business plan."

Step-Away-From-The-Screen and Get a Life
This past Friday my brother Mick asked if he could borrow my laptop for a while. He needed to meet with a client in the early afternoon and his computer was being repaired so he would need to be able to access the web remotely. At first I thought to myself, “man, can I make it through the rest of the day without my computer?” Then I thought to myself that I have been spending too much time with my head buried in the computer, waay too much time. To be honest I was getting a little burnt out from it. “Sure”, I said. “Just need to get it back sometime tonight. Got to a few things I need to complete and get done.” Is there ever a time that I don’t need to be online?
Every since I got serious at marketing online over 2years ago there has hardly been a day that I don’t log on to complete some task, check multiple account, scan hundreds of emails as well as conduct research on search engines like Google. Problem was, that I began to spend too much time online even as I began to automatic certain task. Some days I’m plugged-in from sun up to sun down, way down.
As I handed Mick the laptop I almost immediately began to feel the lonely, started having withdrawals but mostly it was probably more guilt than anything. I know more than anything that I can be to attached to my computer and reducing the time I spend there is like trying to break a serious gambling habit. Ever see the regular poker faces at the casino sitting at the slot machine for hours at a time. Try and interrupt their concentration and your likely to get your head chewed off.
Why couldn’t he have asked to borrower my car, I mean if there’s somewhere I need to go I can just call in a favor from someone. Hey, that could be the answer. Maybe I could swing by the library for a little while. They have internet access. I’m there man.
So, I jumped in the car off to the library to get more work done. On the way I pass the park. I saw people playing softball, riding bikes, people jogging and a couple guys practicing their golf swing. Hey wait a minute they’re out here having a ball. Maybe I should be out having some fun on a Friday afternoon too. I mean this is one of the reasons that I started a home based business in the first place - to have the freedom to choose my schedule and flexibility and control over how my decisions impact my goals. Let’s see, I’ve already checked and followed up y on some important emails, responded to inquiries from leads about my opportunities and I did check my PayPal balances (Friday’s a really good day to get paid). I can check for new emails on my phone. Okay so why the empty feeling.
A Day Unplugged
So, as I zoom right past the library make a right on to 87th and straight over to the Home Depot. You know today is a good time to paint the trim on the garage. It’s a small job and shouldn’t take too long. Before I made it back home stopped to grab a smoothie. All of this has made me thirsty for the frosty cold smoothie.
As I got into the grove I got into the zone and thought to myself that the afternoon had turned out to be a productive one. “A day unplugged” I thought. No staring at the screen, no browsing and not tweeting. The garage was finished, the lawn got cut, the dog got his needed bath and still had time to practice my golf swing in the back yard. My game really needs some work. Man I feel refreshed and getting away from that dang computer had energized me.
You see I had already begun to start to automate some of my task and implementing some systems that would take away some of the busy work. This experience made me want to complete the process of automating this way I can spend more time on the things that matter most and delegate the other stuff. Why do I feel the need to make excuse to break away from work, my business? If I’m going to be truly free then it has to be. I’ve come too far to go back now.
My brother Mick called me around 6pm and said that he was on his way to drop off the laptop. Hurray” I thought to myself. “ Go ahead and keep it and I’ll get it from you tomorrow. “ As a matter of fact you can hang on to it until Sunday” I’m on a roll here.” “Are you okay” Mick asked because he knows the history here. “Yea man, sure. I’ll be fine”. Did I just say, keep it till Sunday?

What the heck are you waiting for? Mobile marketing is killing it.
Recently, Yahoo! Announced a new publishing platform that would enable users to enjoy personalized content on their mobile phones and tablets like such as the ipad. The platform which is called Livestand is a personalized digital newsstand for tablets and mobile phones that continually offers new content to consumers, based on their interests.
The new platform from Yahoo! allows publishers and advertisers to “seamlessly distribute content across tablets and mobile phones in an experience that is elegant and personalized to the individual.” Initially, Livestand from Yahoo! will primarily power Yahoo!’s digital content library – which includes , News, Finance, Sports, Flickr, among others.
According to Yahoo!, the new platform represents a breakthrough of sorts in mobile marketing, as it will allow both advertisers and consumers to interactively engage with content in a such a personalized way.
Ford Making Mobile Marketing The Cornerstone of its 2011 Vehicle Advertising
At the opening of the 2011 Chicago Auto Show at, Ford Motor Co. announced that social media and other “new advertising strategies” will be employed to market all of the car-maker’s 2011 vehicles.
Jim Farley, chief marketing executive at Ford, told those gathered at the Auto Show pre-opening revue that the only media that grew in 2009 and 2010 was online and mobile. As a result, Ford will change how it reaches both current and prospective Ford customers.
“With 500 million people on Facebook, we can reach more potential customers in a more personal way,” Farley said.
Ford launched it’s new 2011 Explorer through Facebook in mid 2010 and as a result of a substantial social media push, the sports utility vehicle has reached 140,000 Facebook fans.
Given the success that the automaker has enjoyed in online media, Farley says Ford will continue to concentrate on other new media tools – especially mobile communication.
A Huge Growing Market
The top five verticals in Q4 2010 were telecommunications, retail & restaurants, entertainment, finance and automotive, with the latter showing an astonishing 623% growth year-over-year. Equally impressive is growth posted by the retail & restaurants category and the entertainment vertical, with 572% and 274% year-over-year growth respectively.
In terms of campaign mix, experts report that 49% of mobile campaigns were designed to drive consumers to a website, while 16% of campaigns were designed to drive app downloads. In addition, 57% of campaigns used a “general broad reach,” while 43% targeted a specific audience.
It is also said that mobile devices will surpass desktop Web browsing within five to ten years, citing the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) who states cell phone use is far higher than Internet use. At the end of 2009, for example, there were 4.6 billion cell phone subscriptions worldwide (76 percent of the world’s 6.8 billion people) while only 26 percent of the world’s population uses the Internet.

Why Keywords Are Important
A Keyword is a word or short phrase that directs a person to a website when typed into a search engine.
Everyone should own at least a few KeyWords! (In any language)
At Kooday you can purchase the ownership of any word. (This is called a KeyWord) You can buy a KeyWord for as little as $.10 cents. Buying a Keyword is the only way to accumulate Profit-Share-Credits. These credits entitle you to share in our profits.
KeyWord ownership also allows you to link a website to the word. When someone performs a search they are sent to your website.
If somebody wishes to link their website to a KeyWord that you own they must pay you a fee or buy the KeyWord from you. Most of the profits are paid to you and some goes to your referrer and Kooday takes a small piece to share with our Profit-Share-Credit holders. Here is a heads up... If you happen to think of a great word, it would be a good idea to pay more than the minimum of $.10 cents because you are paid a percentage of the words value when someone adds a website or buys your KeyWord. Example: 30% of 10 dollars is more than 30% of 10 cents.

The Snizzle That Rocked Chicago
Man, the Windy City is back and with a vengeance. Haven't seen this type of snow since the Blizzard of "79". I took my snow blower out to the back yard where I poured some gas mix in and pulled the cord and instead of the blower starting, the darn thing laughed at me.. It took one look at the snow banks and said "are you crazy? there's no way man". "I'm not built for miracles". I guess, back to the basics .Needed to get that trusty shovel out and commence to digging.

You mean that.you really don't own a smart phone yet?
In less than three years more people will access content from their cell phones than from a desktop or laptop computer. Consumers between the ages of 28-45 now buy six out of 10 homes on the market. These Generation X and Generation Y buyers expect access to information anytime, anywhere; and mobile and mobile phone technology provides the perfect on demand access for their fast paced lifestyle.
In a third annual survey done by Hipcricket Mobile Marketing, it found that of the mobile web users surveyed 60 percent agree that the mobile Web is a useful source of information, up from 51 percent in 2009
• 28 percent of those surveyed are at least somewhat likely to use their mobile device while shopping this holiday season
• 30 percent have interacted with a brand through their mobile device
With more and more users moving to the smart phone and advertisers and retailers are still slow to adjust their marketing strategies.
Mobile Monopoly shows you how to tap into this "Hidden" market.
This marketing opportunity is bigger than the internet.
The Mobile Monopoly course is divided into 10 modules and takes you step by step on how to take advantage of the virtually untapped market.
